Color Vision Ally Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
Color Vision Ally is designed to protect privacy by default.
- No account is required. The app does not collect names, email addresses, location, or contacts.
- Live camera frames are processed only on the device. They are not uploaded or automatically saved to Photos.
- Photos selected by the user are analyzed only on the device. They are not uploaded or added to a recognition history.
- The app contains no advertising, performs no cross-app tracking, and does not sell user data.
- Automatic speech uses the device's system speech service. Recognition content is not sent to the developer.
- Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. The app uses StoreKit only to read product information and active entitlements; the developer does not receive full payment details.
- Language, speech, and overlay preferences are stored locally on the device. Calibration data lasts only for the current app session; deleting the app removes saved settings.
- Unsaved frozen frames and imported photos remain only in memory for the current app session and are cleared when the app process ends.
Camera and photo permissions can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission prevents the related recognition feature from working but does not affect features that do not require it.
The app provides assistive color information. It is not a medical diagnostic tool and must not be used for high-risk conclusions such as food safety.
